People friendly policing in Malkajgiri Commissionerate
To develop a safe and strong neighbourhood and People Friendly policing Malkajgiri Commissionerate has
initiated many activities. From setting up a 'Helmet Bank' couple of months back now they are conducting
awareness sessions in various colonies. As part of it with the cooperation of Madhavapuri Colony Welfare
Association, Kushaiguda Police conducted an interactive awareness session on 'Safety Procedures against
day-today crimes and Cyber crimes. Two officers (SIs) from Kushaiguda Police Station Mr. H.Sailu and Mr. Venkanna visited Madhavapuri Colony on Tuesday and gave valuable guidance on various aspects of personal safety, home security, cybercrime prevention, emergency response. They stressed the need for community vigilance. They explained that the department is developing a data base of servant maids by collecting their personal details and photographs to help prevent crimes and to nab culprits, whenever a crime happens. Many of the neighbourhood colony residents are retirees this kind of awareness sessions will strengthen the confidence of Senior Citizens in handling safety related situations. Officers advised them to lodge complaint with cyber crime police by contacting 1930 number. Police also advised to be vigilant about the drug abuse, asked citizents to report immediately whenever any suspicious activitiy came to their notice. For maintaining a safe, secure, and peaceful neighbourhood. Madhavapuri residents participated actively and enriched their knowledge on safety measures. Executvie members welcomed the Officers and thanked them for visiting the colony inspite of their busy schedule.
